Maya Angelou Community High School (MACHS) welcomed several new staff, faculty, and administrators for the 2018-2019 school year. One of those new members to our school is new Plant Manager David Echeverria. Echeverria comes to us from West Adams High School. “I want the school to look more beautiful,” he said, and he also wants to make sure the campus is a safe environment for all students. Echeverria is a very outgoing and positive person who likes to help out the community. He is a valuable asset to our school and mission.

Echeverria’s goal for this year is to “keep our campus very clean and beautiful.” He hopes to one day become a supervisor. He also wants to get to know each and every staff member, and hopefully some students.

Echeverria chose Maya Angelou Community High School because he helped for the last few years when Mr. Guerrero, our last plant manager, was here. Echeverria attended LA Trade Tech and studied AAA in general education. Outside of school, Echeverria enjoys hiking, bowling, fishing, camping, and snowboarding.
